Ah, Vegas. There’s nothing quite like it – massive casinos, extravagant shows forall interests, neon sunsets, clubbing until 4 a.m. But biking and Vegas, now that seems like a strange vacation. Unless you’re Raleigh, who does it every year at Interbike, the largest bike industry tradeshow in North America. Battling through the Strip and attempting to avoid the nightclubs, Raleigh will set up shop at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, booth BN #24098 from September 18-20. If you’re attending Interbike, stop by to see the new line of 2014 bikes or attend the number of fun events before and during the show. Here’s a list:

The largest cyclocross race in America, CrossVegas takes place just minutes away from the Strip at the Desert Breeze Soccer Complex. A night race, it begins at 4:00 p.m. on September 18. Members from Team Raleigh-Clement will be competing in the elite races, starting at 8:00 p.m. Be sure to watch Raleigh-Clement rider Craig Etheridge, winner of the Wheeler Dealer race last year on his singlespeed rig, in the all-new singlespeed category. Also, keep an eye out for new Raleigh-Clement teammates Jamey Driscoll, a former winner of CrossVegas, and Rebecca Gross, former Masters World Champion Cyclocross athlete.

Ride 2 Recovery Honor Ride

Before Interbike officially starts, Raleigh and Ride 2 Recovery are hosting an Honor Ride on Tuesday, September 17. Raleigh is a partner of the Ride 2 Recovery program, an organization that offers cycling as a form of therapy for veterans. The Honor Ride is a 25-mile trip, starting at Mandalay Bay Convention Center at 8:00 a.m. and finishing at the Outdoor Demo in Boulder City, NV.

People For Bikes Industry Party and Breakfast

After biking the Honor Ride and checking out the Outdoor Demo, stop by the House of Blues at 8:00 p.m. on September 17 for the annual Interbike Industry Party. Support the bike advocacy organization People For Bikes and watch George Thorogood & The Destroyers rock out until 11:00 pm.

To recover from the party and fuel up for the day’s tradeshow adventures, head over to People For Bikes and National Bicycle Dealers Association’s Interbike Industry Breakfast the next morning from 7:30 – 8:00 am at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

Test Ride Raleigh’s 2014 Bikes

Of course, stop by the Outdoor Demo at Boothleg Canyon on September 16-17 to try out any of Raleigh’s new bikes!
